August Member of the Month



Congratulations to Stephanie, our Mischief Member of the month for August, 2022. CrossFit is still a relatively new journey for her, but she has already been seeing improvements in strength and endurance, from just recently getting her first rope climb and to soon getting that first muscle up. She continues to look for ways to become better, is always receptive to coaching cues, and always grabs that extra weight in workouts. Thank you Stephanie for your positive, welcoming, and joyful attitude that you bring to every morning workout!

What motivated you to start CrossFit?



I needed something different. I was working out in my basement for a while and it got kind of lonely. I push myself harder when I have someone to workout with.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?



7 months

How has CrossFit improved your daily life?



It's helped my confidence a lot. I would get discouraged with not seeing results when I would workout alone. Now I notice that I'm a lot stronger than when I first started.

How do you stay consistent with your training?



I go to bed early! I have the most energy in the morning so that's when I like to workout. If I don't get enough sleep, then I find my workouts to be really hard. If I struggle every morning to wake up then I won't be consistent.

What do you like most about CrossFit Mischief?



Do I have to pick just 1? As soon as I set foot in the door I knew I was where I was supposed to be. I love everything about CrossFit Mischief, from the coaches to the workouts!


Favorite CrossFit exercise?



My goal is to get a muscle up one day. So I like workouts with pull-ups and jumping muscle ups so I can build strength and improve my skills to achieve that goal.

Favorite healthy snack?



Veggies and hummus are my go to healthy snacks.

Favorite cheat food?



Ice cream! Bubblegum ice cream is my favorite :)

One Interesting fact about yourself?



I'm Lithuanian on my dad's side and ever since I was 7 years old I would go to a Lithuanian Heritage Camp in Michigan for a week where we would learn more about our history, learn the language and traditions, and learn traditional folk dances and songs. I worked there every summer since I was 18 and just recently retired after 24 years. There's no other place in the world like it so it will always have a special place in my heart
