November Member of the Month
Congratulations to Allen, our Mischief Member of the Month for October, 2022. Allen is not new to CrossFit and Mischief is not his first CrossFit gym, but he has been able to keep it a part of his life through relocating homes and balancing his kids. He always makes time for the gym and always pushes himself in each workout, even when dealing with some shoulder pain. CrossFit continues to improve his daily life and continues to challenge him with the variety of movements it incorporates. The programming at Mischief is a challenge that Allen loves and we hope he continues to keep working hard for many more years!
What motivated you to start CrossFit?
I began relocating for work and didn't know anybody in the new city we were living in. I started going to a standard gym and found myself unmotivated and bored there, thus I thought I should try out CF. After my first workout, I was hooked.
How long have you been doing CrossFit?
I have been doing CF for 4 years.
How has CrossFit improved your daily life?
CF has improved my daily life significantly. Mainly I just feel better all around given that CF forces you to not just do any 'one' type of exercise.
How do you stay consistent with your training?
When I am not traveling for work, I block off my late afternoon calendar at work to have the time. Plus my daughter takes her naps in the afternoon so it is easy to get out of the house to workout!
What do you like most about CrossFit Mischief?
The people are super friendly and fun to workout with. I also love the programming, this is my 3rd CF gym and the programming is a nice combination of all functions.
Favorite CrossFit exercise?
Toss up between wall balls and/or rowing.
Favorite healthy snack?
Probably an apple, grapes or an RTD protein shake.
Favorite cheat food?
Portillos or Lou Malanitis
One Interesting fact about yourself?
All 3 of my kids have been born in different states!
