March 2026 Member of the Month Deb

Deb has been part of the Mischief family for over a year, and her progress has been nothing short of incredible. She truly puts her whole heart into everything she does. Whether it’s a tough workout, supporting a fellow member, or showing up on a hard day — Deb gives 100% every single time.

She is the kind of person who is helpful, friendly, and always there when you need her. That’s what makes her such a special part of our community.

Last July, Deb experienced a setback when she fell and broke her wrist. But if you know Deb, you know that wasn’t going to stop her. She attacked her physical therapy exercises rigorously, stayed patient, and never gave up. Her determination and resilience have been inspiring to watch.

And recently… she PR’d her bench press — her favorite movement! 💪 That moment was so well-earned and such a testament to her hard work.

Deb, we are so proud of you. Thank you for being amazing and for being such an important part of the Mischief fam. Congratulations! 🎉

What motivated you to start CrossFit?

I wanted to feel strong, capable, and confident again — especially as a busy single mom and in this season of life. I also needed something structured that would push me mentally and physically.

How long have you been doing CrossFit?

I’ve been doing CrossFit a little over a year.

How has CrossFit improved your daily life?

I have more energy, better stamina, and I’m stronger for everyday life — work, kids, and everything in between. It’s also been huge for my mindset and stress.

How do you stay consistent with your training?

I usually make it 2–3 times a week, and the routine helps keep me grounded. Showing up is as much for my mental health as it is for my fitness. I would like to make it more!

What do you like most about CrossFit Mischief?

The coaching and the community — everyone is supportive, and I never feel judged for where I’m at. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to keep coming back. I have met some wonderful people too that I call friends now!

What is one goal you hope to achieve with joining CrossFit?

To keep building strength and endurance while improving my overall health and body composition. I want to stay active, strong, and resilient for the long haul.

Favorite CrossFit exercise?

Chest Press — I love feeling powerful and seeing progress over time.

Favorite healthy snack?

Almonds/Apples - Just easy...

Favorite cheat food?

Butter pecan ice cream — always. LOL

One Interesting fact about yourself?

Remote wilderness trips are my happy place — I’ve canoed the Boundary Waters, hiked the Ice Age Trail, gone to the bottom of the Grand Canyon (twice), and trekked to Grinnell Glacier in Many Glacier National Park to name a few. Being out there always resets me and makes me feel grateful.

I visited the gym a few days as a Drop In while traveling through the area. Very friendly and welcoming coaches and members. I will definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

I recently restarted CrossFit after a 6 year hiatus. I tried several different gyms, but just couldn’t find my community… until I walked into CrossFit Mischief. This is a great group of humans all around. From the coaches to the members. Eve
